Size of home: 3BHK spanning 2,500 sq ft

A home should be where you feel your best. A place where you can kickback, dive into your creative nook, and host friends without any hassle. That’s what Mini Kohli and her husband Sandip Sengupta believe in. They pictured dreamy and comfy interiors for their swanky new flat at Prateek Stylome, Noida. So when they saw our ad passing through the DND flyway, they were curious to know more.

The recently turned entrepreneur-duo met with our designer Amar Sidhu and knew right away their dream home could turn into a reality! The brief was simple: an elegant home in a soothing palette with solid wood elements since the family can’t get enough of this old world charm material.

Take a look at how Amar turned this home into a beautiful loft with personality and several statement pieces. Let’s step right in!

A Classy Entrance at Prateek Stylome

An entrance needs to make a statement. The white English door for the main entrance here does just that! It works well with the grey brick walls and neutral flooring. The Victorian lamp elevates the space with warmth.

A private nook for me-time

When entering the home, the passage will be the first to captivate your attention. The walls feature a beautiful floral wallpaper and white trims. It matches with the sleek console table in teal duco paint. Because the couple wanted to separate the foyer from the living room,
Amar put in elegant wooden glass doors.

Since the family love to host their relatives and friends, two living rooms was the perfect decision for more space. For the formal living space, Amar picked soothing colours and lots of wooden elements. The vibrant teal sofas are in harmony with the splash of grey hues all around it. For a hint of bling, the centre table has been done up in Italian stone with gold-toned frames.

We love the private nook in the corner of the room with a teal accent chair, pendant lights and subtle wallpaper that runs behind it. Right beside it, you would notice a classy cabinet done up with glass shutters, solid wood and glass shelves. This is to keep artefacts and books.

A Relaxing Entertainment Room at Prateek Stylome

If you love unwinding spaces, the second living room that doubles as an entertainment zone is sure to give you goals. With a comfy grey L-seater and ottomans, this room looks cozy and perfect for some downtime. Beside the seating, Amar crafted an elaborate bookshelf in solid wood. If you look at its base, you can’t miss the plush fireplace crafted out of Italian stone. Indeed a classy addition to the space!

Since the family required a projector wall, Amar kept one side of the wall bare and placed a minimal wooden TV unit to stash their essentials.

A Blissful Prayer Room at Prateek Stylome

All chairs face the Japanese Buddhist altar in this room
Prateek Stylome-butsudan-blue wallpaper designs

Since the family follows Buddhism, they wanted a special room where they could sit and chant with their friends. As a result, Amar converted one of the bedrooms into a prayer room. used soothing hues of teal, white and wood for this room. A sofa-cum-bed in pastel blue and two tub armchairs in royal blue offer comfy seating. To accommodate more people, a soft rug with tribal prints makes a perfect fix.

All the seating in the room face the beautifully designed teal and ivory butsudan, a Buddhist altar found commonly in traditional Japanese homes. The family had specific requirements for the altar and when on vacation to Japan, they discussed the details to Amar during calls. Indeed, the butsudan is a marvel to admire!

A solid wood bookshelf made out of open shelves is the next thing that catches your attention. It stands in front of a subtle blue wallpaper that complements all the elements in the room. If you look towards the balcony, you would notice a tall wooden cabinet. This has ample storage inside it, concealing a bar unit and even a mini fridge!

A Minimal Dining Space at Prateek Stylome

We love how Amar has utilized the open space in front of the kitchen. To serve as a partition between the second living and dining space, he put in a pristine white buffet table with golden strips. He added wooden rafters on top of it to distinguish the areas clearly. Also, he took the unit up a notch by putting open shelves in between the rafters to display artefacts.

The dining room is designed simple with a wooden table and upholstered chairs in both teal and grey.

“Our design experience with Livspace was delightful, inspiring, engaging and super fun. At the right places, it allowed us a DIY experience as well. Every corner that is designed has a part of us because we were involved at every stage, thanks to our designer Amar.”

Busy mornings are typical for this particular Prateek Stylome household. As a result, Amar put in a breakfast counter which has been topped off with Kalinga stone. You can’t miss the elegant wood and glass partition perched on the breakfast table that opens up when the kitchen isn’t being in use. It has been added to limit fumes from spreading out of the kitchen when you are whipping out a meal. We love how the pendant lights here add a touch of warmth to the nook.

While the wall cabinets are in pristine white, the base units are in a subtle wooden hue. Both units has been finished off in membrane. To stir things up, Amar put in patterned tiles for the backsplash that complements the dual-toned cabinets.

The family’s partiality to wood is evident in the master bedroom. With solid wood for the headboard and bedside tables, the room oozes warmth. Two sides of the wall are dressed in subtle wallpaper and white trims. Right above the bed, a compact butsudan in wood has been crafted.

Bedrooms need to be personal sanctuaries – a concept that our designer
Amar and Mini strongly believe. For this, two comfy light-toned armchairs with pops of mustard are placed next to open shelves that’s been mounted on the wall.

In conversation with us, Mini reveals “Every evening I come home to this cozy space to rejuvenate. Sitting on my armchair, looking at the view of the city from my 15th floor apartment, I look into the future and the limitless possibilities it holds for us! Even though there are many other corners I love about my house, since all of them have been almost hand-crafted, this one holds a special place for its dynamism and how it makes me feel.”

Opposite the bed, a minimal TV unit in the same solid wood has been crafted. Above all, the elements perfectly complement the wooden flooring.

Mini’s father’s bedroom is kept minimal with blue-toned interiors taking the lead. Just like the master bedroom, this room too flaunts a lovely wooden headboard. Take a moment to notice the elegant and fuss-free open ledges mounted on a subtle grey wallpaper. An accent wingback chair next to royal blue curtains makes a cosy nook.

The family’s balcony is sure to give you design goals. After all, it beautifully fits in a complete bar nook with plenty of storage and seating! The wall cabinets, where they could stash wine bottles, are done up with glass shutters and finished with membrane. The same finish has been used for the wood-toned base units as well. A polished black granite serves as the countertop for the table and base units. Notice the cushioned seating? The smart bench has ample storage within to keep extra things and knick-knacks.

Also, if you take a closer look, you would notice a ribbed wall. Amar put in the design to offer the space a bit of dimension. We love how the wooden flooring amplifies the casual vibe in this space.

“It was wonderful to work with Mini Kohli and Sandip Sengupta. I am glad they loved the outcome!”

Bold and beautiful blues reign supreme in this home

Who livs here: Nitin & Ankita Verma with their son

Location: DLF New Town Heights, Gurgaon

Size of home: 3BHK spanning 1,800 sq ft

Design team: Interior designer Sushant Jain & Project Manager Amarjeet Kumar Mahto

Livspace service: Full home design

Budget: ₹₹₹₹

Every home has its own personality, which is usually an extension of those who live in it. This 3BHK at DLF New Town Heights is bold and unconventional in terms of design. This is all thanks to Nitin and Ankita, who were not afraid to experiment with colours and textures in their new home. The young couple inspired our interior designer Sushant Jain to try out different types of finishes and lighting effects.

The result of this avant-garde styling is here for everyone to see! We love the quirk factor in this DLF New Town Heights apartment and you will too once we take you through the full home.

One look at the living room of this house will spell out its basic premise to you. This family likes blues and does not shy away from using it. The sofa set comprising a three-seater, a one-seater and an ottoman are in a rich shade of blue that complements the powder blue wallpaper in the dining area. The living area also sports some very interesting woodwork; the entertainment unit is a mix of laminate with wooden tones and a black MDF cabinet. The shelves and base cabinets are white, so there is a riot of colours and textures on this wall.

The textured blue wallpaper segregates the dining space
dlf new town heights-blue wallpaper designs-dining table designs
dlf new town heights-blue wallpaper designs-round mirror designs

The focus of their dining space is a textured blue wallpaper that provides a striking contrast to the wooden dining set. This is the same powder blue wallpaper we see in the foyer. Hence, we have both colour balance and continuity of design in this DLF New Town Heights home.

Lights do the Talking at DLF New Town Heights

The kitchen stands out for profile lighting under the cabinets
dlf new town heights-blue and white kitchen designs-breakfast counter designs

The kitchen is probably the most interesting space in this home as it packs a punch of many design features. Initially, the apartment had a closed kitchen but Nitin, who is a passionate cook, wanted to open it up and add a breakfast counter. The designer Sushant used this opportunity to opt for an open layout for this parallel kitchen that makes it look roomier and lets in more natural light.

dlf new town heights-blue and white kitchen designs-membrane kitchen cabinets
dlf new town heights-blue and white kitchen designs-profiling lighting designs
dlf new town heights-blue and white kitchen designs-kalinga stone countertop designs

The Vermas opted for a two-toned kitchen with blue and white cabinets. The membrane kitchen has a suitably smooth and natural look. For extra storage,  Sushant put in a tall cabinet for appliances that also incorporates a drawer for groceries. The backsplash has been done up completely in glass. It offers a classic contrast to the grey Kalinga stone countertop. But the real star of the show is the the profile lighting under the wall and base cabinets that adds a touch of edginess to this kitchen.

“We had an excellent experience of working with our designer Sushant as well as Livspace. We had a very specific choice of colours and Sushant used the same to furnish our home. He processed our inputs into workable designs, which have turned out to be perfect for us. I would say we received whatever we signed up for owing to the committed efforts of the design team.”

The room looks larger due to the reflective mirror and acrylic shutters
dlf new town heights-sliding wardrobe designs-wooden flooring designs
dlf new town heights-sliding wardrobe designs-white bed designs

Nitin and Ankita’s bedroom, like the rest of the home, is replete with a plethora of different finishes. The most striking being the wall-to-wall sliding wardrobe with seven doors. It is not just the scale of this wardrobe but its unusual finish that makes it the undeniable accent piece for this bedroom. Mirror shutters interspersed with glossy black acrylic shutters give a much needed illusion of space to this room.

As the room has warm wooden flooring, Sushant suggested installing a white bed and side tables that would have a balancing effect on the interiors.

Teal Trims at DLF New Town Heights

Quirky wardrobe with laminate and acrylic shutters stands out
dlf new town heights-blue curtain designs-wooden flooring designs
dlf new town heights-wooden shelf designs-wooden flooring designs

Nitin wanted to convert one of their spare bedrooms into a chill zone. Thus, Sushant suggested a casual seating arrangement with a sofa-cum-bed and an entertainment unit. Nitin’s affinity for blue has an imprint on this room as well; the shades of teal are rather refreshing and contrast with the wooden flooring. We can see the unusual combination of laminate and black acrylic shutters on the four-door wardrobe in room. The entertainment unit is an amalgam of interesting shelf designs that go with the underlying quirky vibe.

Monochrome Magic at DLF New Town Heights
dlf new town heights-black and white cabinet design-open shelf designs
A classic beauty in black and white
dlf new town heights-black and white cabinet design-study ledge ideas

Nitin’s job allows him to work from home quite often so he wanted a workstation at home. Considering the couple have a kid, it made sense to have an isolated work space. Hence, Sushant advised Nitin to turn the smallest bedroom into a study. This room has grey flooring that matched the monochrome furnishings. The unit is sleek thanks to a narrow floating table along with a stack of drawers and wall cabinets. There is a fair mix of open shelves and closed cabinets here to ensure easy access.

“Nitin always had a bold yet minimal design vision for his new home. Being a true perfectionist, all design details were carefully crafted and rigorously finalised by him. The end result is heartening to see for the whole team involved in the project. Overall, it was a challenging yet refreshing and creatively satisfying experience.”

The living room at this Cleo County apartment is medley of bright colours. Chandan and Dolly wanted to fill their home with colours and Shivangi obliged by using a lovely combination for the living room. The sunshine yellow accent chairs pair up perfectly with the royal blue sofas. She has added extra seating with ottomans that slide under the centre table and a daybed that can be used from either side.

Shivangi has also added a splash of pattern on the wall along with trims that make quite a statement here. Also, instead of the usual TV unit, they opted for this display-cum-storage unit that they can use to put their collection on display. The living room is the ideal space for this, we feel. We also love the hint of sunlight coming in through colourful curtains.

Chandan and Dolly wanted something very dreamy for their master bedroom and Shivangi had to really rack her brains for this. She came up with this brilliant idea of adding a pretty floral wallpaper with magenta flowers and matched up the headboard with it. We love how the stunning pendant lights cast a spell here. A standalone dresser makes way into one corner and a cute ottoman sits in front of it.

There is also a conversation corner created specially for this couple in their bedroom. You can spot two comfortable accent chairs and a coffee table in between. We are totally imagining a deep conversation happening here, over a cuppa, of course.

Shivangi has given them a study table in grey and white, sitting against a wall with colourful stripes. A sofa-cum-bed is a functional addition, while the sliding wardrobe with mirror panelling in the centre takes care of storage.

“The clients were very easy to work with and I had a great time designing their home. They came with a crystal-clear mind and already knew the colours that they wanted in their home. I had to give them designs around it and in the end they were very happy with the outcome.”

Wardrobe Designs for Compact Rooms

$

Wardrobes can make or break a room, so various factors need to be considered while designing it, including colour, surface and the type of door. However, even the most expensive wardrobe setup can look entirely out of place if it isn’t built to fit into and make use of space in the room. Starting with a blank canvas can be a daunting process, but this guide will help you understand how to choose the perfect almirah designs for small rooms.

Almirah Designs for Small Rooms #1: Seamless Wardrobes
almirah designs for small rooms-doorless wardrobe designs-white sliding wardrobe design
A clean and classy wardrobe a seamless look

Designing wardrobes for small spaces often boils down to having to pick between inadequate storage space and large, space-consuming units. Hinged doors add to the clutter as they open outwards and use up more real estate. An excellent way to bring about balance is to install a seamless wardrobe, one with sliding doors. This makes access much easier and showcases a sleek overall finish.

Almirah Designs for Small Rooms #2: Mirror Shutters
almirah designs for small rooms-single bed-mirror door wardrobe designs
With mirrored wardrobes, always wake up to a bright and spacious room

Mirrored shutters virtually reduce the weight and heft of wardrobes for small spaces. They add to the functionality of the overall design by taking the place of a vanity unit or dressing table. Mirrored shutters, or other reflective surfaces for that matter, reflect light from a window or light source to make the room look airy and spacious.

Almirah Designs for Small Rooms #3: Optimise Angles & Niches
almirah designs for small rooms-tv unit-wooden designs-l-shaped wardrobe designs
Cast the wardrobe into a niche to save space

Exploiting wall corners and awkward niches can prove to be a boon for those looking to maximise storage space. L-shaped wardrobes fit into right angles, while additional shelving or intelligent storage units can be fixed into nooks and crannies. Doing this also gives you more square footage to add other functional elements in the room, perhaps a desk or a dressing table.

Almirah Designs for Small Rooms #4: Wall-to-celing Wardrobes
almirah designs for small rooms-floor to ceiling wardrobe designs-floor-to-ceiling wardrobe designs
Make the most of vertical space with tall wardrobes

In a small room, every square inch counts. Extending a regular wardrobe from the floor to the ceiling makes use of the ceiling height and adds an extra shelf’s worth of storage space. Floor-to-ceiling wardrobes are illusory too, they draw the eyes upwards and make the room look much bigger than it is!

Almirah Designs for Small Rooms #5: Cut Down on Drawers
almirah designs for small rooms-backpainted glass wardrobe shutters-minimal wardrobe designs
Transform inconvenient drawers into wardrobe shelves

While drawers are a go-to for secured storage, awkward placements and unplanned designs can make them more of a space-waster than space-saver. Due to their pull-out design, they naturally take up more space despite being off the floor.

Instead, save the wardrobe space for shelves and a hanging rod and shift all drawer essentials to a bedside dresser or under-bed storage. This is an ergonomic tactic to both make use of space and optimise the use of it around the room in general. It also reduces a build-up of clutter and hoarding!

Almirah Designs for Small Rooms #6: Match the Colour
almirah designs for small rooms-all white interiors-white wardrobe designs
These white shutters open up space and add texture too!

Wardrobe designs for small spaces, like general home interior design, is a lot about being crafty and creating illusions. To make a room seem bigger and draw eyes vertically, consider choosing a wardrobe colour that is the same or similar to adjacent surfaces, most likely the ceiling or floors.  The lack of solid demarcations makes the interiors more cohesive and seamless.

Wardrobe designs depend a lot on the space you have to play around with. Choose almirah designs for small rooms that make the most of space, doesn’t take away from the rest of the room and fits all you need  (and maybe more)! Also explore Space-Saving & Stylish Sliding Wardrobe Designs.

You will love all the design cues from this Maker Tower kitchen!

Who livs here: Nitya & Kamlesh Tejwani

Location: Maker Tower, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai

Size of kitchen: 250 sq ft

Design team: Interior designer Ashwini Gokhale

Livspace service: Kitchen renovation

Budget: ₹₹₹₹₹

If you have a partial eye to straight lines and symmetry, this revamped kitchen will have you right at the entrance. For most Mumbaikers, the Maker Tower in Cuffe Parade needs no introduction. Towering over the Mumbai skyline, the more than 20-year-old building is home to Nitya Tejwani and her husband Kamlesh. The family having relocated from the U.S wanted their beloved kitchen to stand out in a contemporary vibe and most importantly, have all the amenities updated.

The challenge? The kitchen is in an uncommon trapezium layout. But our designer Ashwini Gokhale loves a good challenge. From an unorganised space, the kitchen is now efficient, updated and prepped to cook a storm! Let’s take a look-see!

It all started with inspiration from the flooring. Ashwini explains that the flooring itself had a lot of character and the family wanted to retain it. So the designs had to complement this. As a result, she picked a soothing monochrome palette for the kitchen. While the base cabinets take the spotlight in metallic silver acrylic finish, the top cabinets have been done in a lighter hue of grey. Its anti-scratch feature makes the kitchen easy-maintenance. In addition, a grey quartz countertop completes the look.

Since the kitchen stands in an interesting trapezium layout, Ashwini trimmed and cleaned it up to accommodate more counter space. “I focused on giving it a geometrical yet linear and sophisticated appeal,” Ashwini explains. Notice the backsplash? The tiles are marble-esque to keep things classy and on budget too.

If you look at their earlier kitchen, you would notice it had plenty of cabinets. But organisation doesn’t rely on quantity of options alone. Ashwini put in a tall unit consisting of an in-built oven along with microwave space. It also has cabinets on top. A roller shutter has been placed conveniently next to it, with an aluminum roll-up. This neatly tucks away small electrical appliances like toasters and grinders.

In addition, wicker baskets help to keep onions, potatoes and other dry groceries. Some of the base units have been fitted with pull out trays as well to stash masalas and other quick essentials. Don’t you just love how everything has a place?

Kitchen Makeover in Maker Tower: Basking in all that light

Profile lights under the top cabinets
kitchen-base-grey-cabinets-window-counter-flooring-blinds

The kitchen has an abundance of sunlight pouring in,  thanks to the number of wide windows put in. Blinds were a better choice than putting in standard kitchen curtains. To take it up a notch, Ashwini added profile lights under the top cabinets. Also, notice how open glass shelves have been used beside the top cabinet. Glass is an excellent way to reflect more light into your space.

“Nitya and Kamlesh have been very much satisfied with the design and efforts taken by the whole team till the handover. They gave me immense liberty to put my ideas in front of them and valued my opinion as well. The execution was handed well by Naresh Bees and Durgesh Parab (Project Managers) with Sandesh as out Project engineer with giving attention to the minutest details and resolving design queries promptly.”

A perfect home is not the one that awes us with its splendour but the one that is close to our hearts. Or as Kanchan Chaudhury puts it, “home for us is all about ‘us’ and so it had to be designed around our needs”. Kanchan and her husband Sumit own a villament at Shriram Chirping Woods, Harlur Road. The plush 4BHK house plan lacks for nothing in terms of space or amenities. But the couple trusted Livspace to turn this house into a residence for their family.

Our designer Himani Kaushal was undaunted by the scale of the project and focussed on the family instead. Moreover, Kanchan did not want interiors that would be an amalgam of ideas picked up from different homes or places. So Himani was inspired to keep her designs as original and rooted to the family’s requirements as possible.

Let us take you on a tour of this villament to illustrate how the best homes evolve around the most genuine people.

Rustic Runes at Shriram Chirping Woods

The wallpaper in the foyer has a rustic charm in its texture
wooden rafter designs-white cabinet designs

Kanchan and Sumit were very particular about having continuity in the interior design of their home, so Himani decided to set the tone from the foyer itself. Can you spot a console in a combination of white acrylic and walnut brown laminate in the entry passage? Consequently, we see various versions of this combination in throughout the house. Further, the console rests against the backdrop of a panelled blue wallpaper that gives this space a rustic vibe.

Glass Walls at Shriram Chirping Woods

The living room has a wide range of warm wooden finishes
nested stool designs-floor-to-ceiling window designs
wooden rafter designs-minimal tv unit designs

The most striking element of the living area in Kanchan and Sumit’s villament is its vertical height. The floor-to-ceiling glass windows capture the scale of the house brilliantly. Moreover, the entire ground floor is flooded with natural light because of these glass walls. In addition, the furnishing in the living area is fairly simple to ensure that the focus remains on the windows that oversee an elaborate balcony. Besides, the furniture includes neutral sofas with wooden side tables and a centre table that has four nested stools. The media wall is a combination of white base cabinets and brown laminate wall paneling. This is a custom unit that is marked by clean lines and uncluttered design.

wooden rafter designs-nested stool designs
beige sofa designs-floor-to-ceiling window designs
chandeliar designs-floor-to-ceiling window designs

As the space here is massive, Sumit and Kanchan wanted some detailing to be done with the ceiling. While the higher ceiling is a statement unto itself, Himani highlighted the lower ceiling in the living area with wooden rafters. Additionally, pair of contemporary chandeliers fill up the space between the floors here. This detailing also showcases the variety of ceiling heights within the living area with dexterity.

Wooden Warmth at Shriram Chirping Woods

The dining space is set apart by the low-height open cabinet
low height cabinet designs-floor-to-ceiling window designs
bench dining set designs-crockery cabinet designs

The dining area in this home is feast of warm wooden finishes. We have a dining table here that is a contemporary piece with a bench seating option. Essentially, Himani has used an open cabinet that can be used to store books and magazines as a partition between the living and dining areas. As this 4BHK house plan is expansive, it makes sense to have a partition in living area. However, as the low-height custom unit is placed behind a sofa, it doesn’t obstruct the view of the room. Further, the other end of the dining space culminates in a massive crockery-cum-bar unit. This elegant design in white acrylic and brown laminate comes from the Livspace catalogue.

“Home to us is all about ‘us’ so we didn’t want to furnish our home with ideas picked up from different forums. Our designer, Himani, understood that and worked accordingly. The dedication of our designer set Livspace apart from other designing firms and we are happy to say that they have lived up to our expectations.”
Kanchan Chaudhary, Livspace Homeowner

Neutral Notes at Shriram Chirping Woods
two toned kitchen designs-morrocan tiles designs
Cooking means family time, thanks to this open breakfast counter
two toned kitchen designs-kalinga stone countertop designs
two toned kitchen designs-breakfast counter designs

As we have seen so far in this 4BHK house plan, there is a distinct focus on browns and whites. The kitchen is not an exception to this rule. A mix of white acrylic finishes with American Walnut (a lighter shade of brown) laminate adds depth to the kitchen. The white countertop is Kalinga stone that lends a smooth finish to the space. Kanchan mentioned that they do not cook much, but when they cook, it is done together as a family. Hence, having a breakfast counter makes this kitchen more functionally suited to the family’s needs.

Boisterous Browns at Shriram Chirping Woods

The guest bedroom has a bunch of interesting storage options
white and brown cabinet designs-open shelves designs

The ground floor of this villament has the living and dining space with an open kitchen as well as the guest bedroom, which opens into the long balcony. Needless to say that this room is bathed in sunlight like the rest of the home. This bedroom has been designed keeping the needs of the couple’s parents, who visit often, in mind. We see the same combination of whites and browns here with an interesting mix of open shelves for accessibility. The dressing and sleeping areas in this bedroom are segregated by a glass and wooden partition.

floor to ceiling wardrobe designs-loft designs

Beyond the partition, Himani has provided more wardrobe space and lofts. Kanchan wanted this extra storage space to accommodate the family’s winter wardrobe and Indian clothes.

Breezy Blues
wooden bed designs-white and brown cabinet designs
The master bedroom is partitioned into sleeping and dressing zones
wooden bed designs-blue wallpaper designs
wooden bed designs-wooden headboard designs
wooden flooring designs-mirror designs

The master bedroom on the second floor resembles the guest bedroom in terms of layout and has been partitioned in the same way. The partition in this bedroom is a Japanese-inspired design of checkered glass panes. The cool tones of the powder blue wallpaper in the couple’s bedroom complements the warm wooden flooring. The console here is a smaller version of the one we see in foyer.

Pink Puddles

The kid’s bedroom is a melange of colours and patterns
bunk bed designs-kids room wallpaper designs

Kanchan and Sumit’s daughter Kenisha’s bedroom is all rainbows and sunshine. The brightly coloured cabinets in this room go with the playful patterns on the wallpaper. Kanchan insisted on having enough storage in this bedroom as well to ensure that Kenisha can hold on to her childhood treasures even as she grows up!

A Bibliophile’s Dream
wooden flooring designs-book shelf designs
The library has a massive L-shaped book shelf-cum-media wall
wooden flooring designs-l-shaped book shelf designs
wooden flooring designs-blue sofa designs

Both Kanchan and Sumit are avid readers and have an enviable collection of books. It is no wonder that they wanted to turn their fourth bedroom into a full-fledged library. Himani has used the same colour combination of white and brown to create a customised L-shaped book rack-cum-media wall. But instead of acrylic, the whites are high-gloss laminate in this unit. This room is essentially a library but the family also uses it as a lounge to get some quality time together. There have kept the furniture to a bare minimum so that their daughter can have enough floor space to spread out wares for arts and crafts.

“Kanchan and Sumit had very refined and well-travelled taste in interiors, which I was able to connect with. This helped me churn out designs that they liked instantly. As their home is massive, we offered them custom options wherever necessary. The result is quite awe-inspiring and they love it, so it is all worth the effort!”
Himani Kaushal, Interior Designer, Livspace

A beautiful house design in New Town Heights, Gurgaon.

Who livs here: Swati Vyas with her husband Tanmay, son Neevan and parents-in-law

Location: New Town Heights, Gurgaon

Size of home: A 4BHK spanning 2,400 sq ft approx.

Design team: Interior Designer Megha Kedia and Quality Manager Maninder SK

Livspace service: Full home design (kitchen not included)

For Swati and Tanmay Vyas, moving from Dwarka to Gurgaon was a conscious decision and thus they wanted a home that they could call special. Livspace proved to be the right choice for this couple, since their busy schedule did not allow them to deal with individual carpenters and contractors. A one-stop interior design solution is what they were looking for.

The next time someones asks you to present a case supporting white walls at home, show them this one. This 4BHK in New Town Heights feels totally welcoming and carries a warm vibe with it. We would like to call this one a modern chic home that has a good mix of colours for creating the right effect on everyone. Livspace designer Megha Kedia has given this family a combination of purposeful designs and shots of glamour to create a unique style.

With its whitewashed walls and ceilings, comfortable style and perfectly placed furniture, this living room got us drooling over it. Megha chirps how this cozy family did not want any loud colours or elaborate seating. They were more keen on having free floor space and a lot of breathing room at home. So, she gave them a combination of a suede Cassandra sofa, a bench and two ottomans. The minimal coffee table with metal legs and a granite table top complements the vibe of this space.

Beautiful House Design: Shiny, Reflective Surfaces
Beautiful house design_dining room

Our current crush is most definitely the mirrored wall in this dining room. When you are someone who likes to keep things understated and basic, then an accent wall like this one can really amp up your interiors. Plush dining chairs made for ultimate comfort and a sleek dining table are reflected on the mirrored wall to create a visually larger space. A boxy false ceiling with LED lights adds a touch of style to this room.

Once you step into this master bedroom, you can gauge the couples taste and preferences perfectly. Keeping a minimal and Scandinavian theme in mind, Megha gave them a combination of white and blue for their personal space. The textured wallpaper and wooden flooring strike the right chords in here. Also, the amazing view deserves a cozy lounge chair, where they can chill and unwind. The wall mounted TV unit with a compact study table is Swati’s work zone at home.

Moving on to the parents room at home, this space welcomes you with a calm vibe at the first sight. The columns projecting on either side of the bed gave Megha an opportunity to place veneer panels with focus lights in there. A soft floral wallpaper set against a flaming red headboard is such a treat for sore eyes. The glossy wardrobe with a mirror panel on one side adds sheen to this cozy bedroom.

This playful kids room packs a punch with so many things happening in here, that are worthwhile. Start off by feasting your eyes on the car themed wallpaper in myriad colours and the Winnie the Pooh wall decal. We love how it makes the room look so much more fun. The bunk bed saves space, while the geometric false ceiling looks interesting. Storage is taken care of in the wardrobes and the study unit, where Neevan can accommodate all his books and toys.

This bedroom, that was designed especially for Tanmay’s brother, who moved to Mumbai recently. So now, this room serves as the guest bedroom and do we love it! It is such a fresh change from the neutral colours around the house. Megha experimented with the bold floral wallpaper and a rich blue headboard for this one and it surely looks lovely.

“Swati and Tanmay were very easy to work with, since they were not fussy at all. They just knew that they want a home that looks elegant and does not feel very cluttered. Ample storage is another aspect that they were looking at. I just had to work around these cues and give them a design that they would appreciate.”

We filled this home in Accurate Wind Chimes with warm wood!

Who livs here: Faheed with his wife Zinher A Saikia, their son and his parents

Location: Accurate Wind Chimes, Narsingi Circle, Hyderabad

Size of home: A 3BHK spanning 1,655 sq ft approx.

Design team: Interior Designer Beena Kumari and Project Manager Siju Cherian

Livspace service: Kitchen & Wardrobe Design

Budget: ₹₹₹₹₹

Not all homes need a complete overhaul when it comes to interior designing. For our clients, Faheed and Zinher, residing at Accurate Wind Chimes in Hyderabad, it was just about getting modular solutions for their home. They already had their set of loose furniture and they wanted their new home interiors to match with it. Their requirement was simple — wooden textures in the kitchen and wardrobes.

After a brief search online, they zeroed in on Livspace and decided to engage us for their home interiors. They met designer Beena Kumari and discussed their needs with her in detail. Once you enter this spacious 3BHK, you will notice that the home has a welcoming vibe, thanks to the abundant use of warm wooden finishes. We especially love the embossed profile shutters in the kitchen that bring out the beauty of these membrane finish cabinets.Read on to see how the designer used her magic to transform this space.

Kitchens are a personal space as far as any family is concerned and this home is no exception. The couple wanted a fully wooden-feel kitchen and Beena came up with an excellent idea. She gave them embossed profile shutters here that give the space a nice, vintage touch. This is a power-packed kitchen, with tandem drawers, bottle pull-outs, cutlery units and so on. A jet black granite countertop makes sure that there are no visible spots and stains. For ease of use, Beena has given specific open shelves for appliances as well.

I am very happy with the quality of products installed by Livspace. We appreciate their timely delivery and we would like to thank Sachin, the Operations head, who was very prompt and supportive throughout the process. Beena, our designer has been very accommodating and gave us excellent designs. We are very happy with our new home!

So many striking features in one bedroom, we are in awe! Since the couple already had a bed and a chest of drawers, they wanted the wardrobes to complement the rest of the furniture. Therefore, Beena suggested they go for stylish sliding door wardrobes with lofts that take care of storage. She also highlighted one wall with a pretty floral wallpaper that acts as the perfect accent feature here.

Do not miss the cosy “me” corner that Beena created for Zinher in their bedroom. She loves reading and wanted her own zone in the comfort of her room. Beena placed a plush blue accent chair next to the wardrobes and kept a floor lamp next to it. We can totally imagine a bibliophile getting lost in their books here.

Faheed’s parents wanted a rather simple room and all Beena had to do was give them wooden finish wardrobes in here. But, functionality won over style, and she gave them swing door wardrobes with lofts, that are easy to use.

The naughty kid at home has the brightest room to himself. The same wardrobe finishes from his grandparents’ room are replicated here, to make it a hassle-free experience for him. He loves playing with his stuffed toys and building blocks, with an aeroplane-theme wallpaper in the backdrop.

“My clients were very easy to work with since they already had loose furniture in place and I just had to match the look with it. The designing and decision-making phase was closed quickly and there were no hiccups during the process. I enjoyed working on this project.”

Indian living room designs with plenty to offer!

indian living room-blue wallpaper-gold wall mirror
Gold elements can add a touch of luxury to any home

Who livs here: Rudhesh Chauhan and his family

Location: Sector 44, Noida

Size of living rooms: 500 sq ft approx.

Design team: Interior Designer Ritu Shiboo Deshpande and Project Manager Madhur Jain

Livspace service: Living room renovation

Budget:₹₹₹₹

A home should narrate the story of the owner’s life. With Sector 44 being one of the prime residential locales in Noida, Rudhesh Chauhan’s home lives up to the hype. The Chauhan family has been residing in their spacious Noida home for the past 20 years. They felt the need to renovate their traditionally designed living room into a contemporary space, while including a hint of grandeur!

They told us that they enjoy having relatives and friends over on a regular basis. So they required ample seating to host their guests. Keeping this in mind, one of the best interior designers in Noida, Ritu took up the task and delivered her best.

The interesting part? The living room is divided into two sections. Both, seeking two completely different styles. One formal living room, for social gatherings and one casual lounge, for family and friends but both designed for quality time with loved ones.

Living Room Glazed with Grandeur

Plenty of seating for fun social gatherings

The overview of the formal Indian living room has a balanced and plush vibe. When it comes to the colours used, neutral hues give the living room a calm appearance whereas the gold details add a hint of luxury. This spacious living room seats about ten people and with two patterned ottomans it becomes the ideal space for large social gatherings.

In addition to the windows that allow ample sunlight into the living room, Rudhesh selected striking wood panelled chandeliers for more light and warmth. What makes the living room extraordinary? It is divided by a wall that encloses the other room flaunting unique pieces of furniture.

Details make the design
indian living room-brown cushions-wall mirror

With a pastel blue motif textured wallpaper, the accent wall is subtle but striking. In addition, gold elements such as the geometric wall mirror, vase and cushions have been used sparingly throughout the house. As a result, the harmonising of gold with neutral shades, makes the living room look luxurious.

“After seeing my home post renovation, I am very glad to see all the improvements made. Thank you for all the hard work and effort put in. All the designs meet required conditions and everything is just the way we wanted. I am looking forward to utilising your services in the future again.”

Rudhesh Chauhan, Livspace Homeowner

Cosy and Casual Living Room

A living room where every feature has a story to tell
indian living room-coffee table designs-sofa cum bed

We love how the next living room is separated from the formal area by elegantly designed partition! The gold curtains definitely add a touch of drama. In addition, the wall niches feature unique fretwork.

Because of the white walls and detailing in wood, it gives the room a bright and contemporary look. As soon as you enter the casual area, you notice the catchy charcoal brown panel. Notice the gorgeous panel behind the TV unit? It’s made out of charcoal and polystyrene to keep things interesting.

Two blue accent chairs and a sofa-cum-bed offer plenty of seating. Above all, the space-saving coffee table is definitely a unique piece of furniture. You can tuck the ottomans under the table for more space or pull them out for more seats. In addition, one of the best designers in Noida, Ritu custom designed a wall with wood panels and POP grove fitted with LED lighting.

This has been a one-of-a-kind experience in terms of design. Since Rudhesh let me be creative, I loved the entire experience! He gave me complete liberty to make decisions and I chose to keep it simple and contemporary with a touch of luxury. Moreover, execution of my design was seamless thanks to the Business Manager, Shivangi Agarwal and Project Manager, Madhur Jain.”

Duplex house design goals seem to be met for this Bengaluru home!

The living area has three distinct zones

Who livs here: Vinod and his family

Location: Bengaluru

Size of duplex: 4BHK spanning 2,500sq ft approx.

Design team: Interior Designer Vardhini BS and Project Manager Garima Shah

Livspace service: Full home design

Budget:₹₹₹

If every home tells a story, this one would be an adventure! It is not everyday we find a family that does not hesitate to experiment with design styles and colours. But when we do, we grab the opportunity with both hands. And that is exactly what our designer Vardhini BS did for this duplex house design. Vinod wanted a 4 BHK home design for his family, and he had no qualms about trying out bold colours. So we lent him a deft hand at designing to churn out a home that wears its heart on its sleeve!

Take a tour to explore this Bengaluru duplex that stands out for its blazing colours.

The pops of blue & red in the room are striking

duplex house design-red sofa designs-stone wall designs

One look at this living room will let you know that Vinod has a penchant for bright shades and Vardhini has not shied away from using the same. As their living room is a sizable one, the family wanted to break it up into two seating arrangements. The first is the main living area cordoned by a fiery red L-shaped sofa. The second is a turquoise couch from the Livspace catalogue placed right after the entrance. This causal seating option allows the family and their guests to be seated while wearing or removing their footwear.

duplex house design-red sofa designs-TV unit designs
duplex house design-red sofa designs-stair designs

As the red sofa is a prominent pop of colour in this room, Vardhini kept the TV unit fairly simple to balance it out. The wall panel behind the TV unit has a tiled natural stone finish that provides texture and an inherent earthiness to the settings. Moreover, as the family has two young children, they were concerned about ensuring the safety of the staircase that runs through the centre of the living room. Vardhini solved this problem by covering the open side of the stairs with vertical metal bars that also act as a de facto partition between the living and dining areas.

Duplex House Design Ideas: Cosy & Comfy Dining

The dining areas is neatly tucked away under the stairs
duplex house design-open kitchen designs-staircase designs
duplex house design-serving counter designs-staircase designs

The dining space is our favourite spot in this duplex as it owes its beauty to dire simplicity. If we go by convention, the space taken up by the turquoise sofa is the actual dining area in this home. However, Vinod did not want the dining setup to be the first thing one sees upon entering the house. Hence, Vardhini tucked the dining table into the space under the staircase. This lends an air of privacy to the space and increases its proximity to the serving counter of the kitchen. Besides, the natural stone textured tiles here mimic the wall behind the TV unit and ensure continuity of design.

Duplex House Design Ideas: Monochrome Magic

The kitchen is a zone of tranquility nestled within this colourful home. The greys and white cut an elegant picture and the 3D tiles of the backsplash, arranged in herringbone style, offer the required texture. The cabinets have high gloss laminate finish with a comfortable mix of open shelves and cabinets. A tall unit for appliances is also included in the scope of this kitchen. The white countertop is in a smooth Kalinga stone.

However, the real highlight of this kitchen is the pass-through window, which is used as a serving counter by the family. In fact, it offers a great view of the living area so that the adults can keep an eye on the two little ones when they are playing.

Duplex House Design Ideas: Breathing Blues

Different gradients of blues brighten up this room
duplex house design-blue wall designs-blue wallpaper designs

duplex house design-blue wall designs-sliding wardrobe designs

The master bedroom is an ode to Vinod’s weakness for blue. Vardhini has capitalised on this and used a number of different shades of blue in this room. A solid powder blue wall stands behind the bed and another with light and dark blue stripes that serves as an accent wall. To add variety, the family opted for a turquoise couch too! The sliding wardrobe has high gloss laminate finish in black and white colours.

Duplex House Design Ideas: The Kiddies’s Kaleidoscope

Vinod wanted the little ones to have a vivacious space. Hence, the smattering of greens and blues in the kids’ bedroom. This room has an exact replica of the wardrobe in the master bedroom.

“Vinod was an excellent client to work with as he was very clear about how he wanted this home to turn out. He was friendly, courteous and showed great respect for our work. In short, it was a pleasure to design this home for him and his family.”

Are you partial to neutral colours and elegant designs? Then this home will have you glued. Ruchi and Bhaskar Trivedi moved from Aundh to Balewadi to start living in their own home and their son’s school is also located in Balewadi. Bhaskar, a banking professional and Richa, a homemaker now, are very fond of simple colours and their new home is a reflection of that.

Livspace designer Ila Pai was very patient during the discussions, and the couple gave her ample scope to experiment. As a result, together they conceptualised and discussed the designs in detail and the entire project was completed in the given time frame. We especially love the little details like the jaali divider and the pretty lights around the house. Check it out.

They say the foyer is a prelude to what awaits you. The moment you enter this 2BHK at Kunal Aspiree, it sets the tone for the home. Complete with a simple ledge for display and drawers for keeping keys and other essentials, this foyer is subtle and functional. A stylish accent mirror and a statement pendant light add the right finishing touches.

The living room in a lot of flats in Noida enjoy ample sunlight and this one is no exception. Bhaskar and Ruchi were clear about having soft neutrals in their living room, with special focus on lighting. Since Ruchi loves collecting artefacts, she wanted dedicated racks for displaying them. Ila designed the laminate TV unit in such a way that it can store the essentials and has ledges for display. The pretty corner light illuminates the designer wallpaper on the wall behind it.

While the dining table set was already present at this flats in Pune, Ila had to design the rest of the space in tandem with it. She painted the wall in a subtle shade of cream and installed the same corner light to maintain harmony. The couple also wanted a crockery unit here, that is handy when entertaining guests and family.

The kitchen is the most important zone at this Kunal Aspiree apartment. Bhaskar and Ruchi were very clear about having a bright colour in the kitchen and equipping it with all the major modules. Hence, Ila gave them a combination of red and white acrylic finish cabinets. To make things easy and low-maintenance, she has given them anti-scratch surface for the shutters. The countertop is carved out of corian, that is highly durable. A tall unit, bottle pull-outs, tandem boxes, drawers and profile shutters make this kitchen a boon for Ruchi.

The master bedroom is a treat to the eyes. Amidst all the subtle colours used in this room, Ila introduced that pop element through the turquoise blue headboard against the motif wallpaper. Storage was a major criteria for the couple, therefore she has given them a hydraulic bed and wardrobes with lofts. To open up the space, she has used mirror on the sliding wardrobe shutters. The TV unit is finished in laminate and features simple ledges for display. You can also spot a storage-cum-dresser unit next to the bed.

“The clients were very easy to work with. They were open to new designs and ideas and gave me complete freedom to work. The entire project was designed and delivered in two months and it looks exactly the way they wanted it to. I am very happy that I could live up to their expectations.”

There’s something about this home that attracts us towards it. And, it is not just the gorgeous design. For Sunny and Kanika Marwaha, this is their second home and the first that they got designed by a professional interior designer. Like every homeowner, they were naturally overflowing with ideas for their home, but Amar Sidhu, their designer from Livspace, gave them such excellent designs that they ended up giving him complete ownership of designing their space.

Filled with natural wood and classic greys, this design is sure to send across good vibes. We love how straight lines carry over in every room that creates a continuous theme here. Sans any loud colours in major chunks, this 3BHK at Cleo County has something special about it. Read on to find out what.

Your living room is most likely to make the first impression on anyone who enters your home, so make sure you make it stunning. When Amar, their designer, gave them options for the accent wall, they were completely sold on the idea of having subtle trims. Therefore, this living room is done up in muted greys and a very simple striped wallpaper on the walls. The seating is kept versatile, with sofas, ottomans and an accent chair put together strategically. Another designer twist is the twin rafters that form a part of the false ceiling. Also, do you notice the wooden ledges on next to the TV unit? The couple can use it to display the numerous curios that they’ve collected over time.

The dining room is decked up in glossy finishes and warm woods to tone things down. The result is stunning as you can see! The crockery unit is a masterpiece with glossy acrylic finish cabinets in a delicious shade of cream. Wooden rafters on the ceiling play match with the glass top dining set that the family has retained.

Balance is Key

The son’s bedroom is a mix of whites and greys
kids-study-table-bookcase--grey-yellow-bed

At first sight, you might feel that this is just a kid’s room, but we beg to differ. Since the couples’ son is very young, they wanted to design this room in such a way that it serves the dual purpose of being a kids-cum-study room. Keeping that in mind, Amar designed this room majorly in whites and greys, with a splash of sunshine yellow. Also, if you are not keen on getting a world map wallpaper, then get one on a canvas that fits on the headboard wall.

For the love of simple colours, the couple was adamant and very clear about having blue in their master bedroom. Amar decided to give them a classy textured wallpaper in a subtle shade of blue, for the headboard wall. To add some sheen to this room, he gave lovely mirror panels flanking the bed. Also, do not miss how he matched the glossy grey wardrobes with the fully upholstered bed in the same shade. This room looks so serene, yet so stylish and the clients love it!

A very sweet and accommodating couple, Sunny and Kanika were more than willing to accept my design solutions with an open mind. It’s always amazing to work with such humble people who are ready to experiment. I loved working with the Marwahas.

Crafted by one of the top 10 interior designers in Hyderabad!

An inviting ambience as soon as you enter

Who livs here: Ravikiran and his wife Lavanya

Location: TNR Sulakshana, Hastinapuram, Hyderabad

Size of home: A 3BHK spanning 1,055 sq ft

Simple but packed with a bunch of unique designs. That’s what Ravikiran and his wife Lavanya wanted for their dream home in TNR Sulakshana, Hyderabad. When the young family was looking for top 10 interior designers in Hyderabad, they came across Livspace. A meeting with our designer Ketika M Nagda soon entailed. While elegant and fuss-free interiors were a priority, they also revealed they wanted plenty of breathing space and most importantly, it has to embody optimum usage of space.

Keeping this in mind, Ketika crafted a home that follows the trendy “less is more” principle and scores a perfect ten on space efficiency. Here’s the tour!

Clutter-free and yet has everything for the living room

The living room stands in a clutter-free design with plenty of display and storage options. Since the couple retained their original sofas, Ketika paired them with a sleek TV unit in high gloss laminate and box shelves for plenty of display options. Notice how both units are wall mounted? This helps enhance the appearance of an airy room.

The open cabinets in white high gloss laminate steal the show in the room. With clear glass shutters and a tiny pop of navy blue in the centre, the unit does hold your attention. We especially love the rustic stone tile detail in the middle.

High on Functionality

How do you make a dining experience easier for the homeowner? Take cues from the dining room at TNR Sulakshana. A crockery unit that doubles as a buffet table has been placed right beside the dining table. And on the other side, she placed a wash basin which holds storage cabinets below it. To keep things consistent, she used the same pop of rustic stone tiles in the middle for the crockery and storage units.

An easy breezy kitchen

Lavanya was particular about having a kitchen with ample storage. As a result, the kitchen had to undergo major civil changes. Ketika utilised the space as efficiently as possible and put in cabinets all around their L-shaped kitchen. While the family circled in on a white kitchen, Ketika decided to put in a twist and picked wooden white matt membrane for the cabinets. In addition, the vibrant blue lacquered glass certainly gives the space an energetic pop of colour!

Since their kitchen was spacious, Ketika put in lofts and two tall units as well. In addition, a separate working has also been put in the next to the entrance.

Blissful Master Bedroom

A sliding wardrobe in high gloss laminate
bedroom-wardrobe-white-grey-blinds

The brief for all three bedrooms of this TNR Sulakshana apartment was simple: ample storage space. The master bedroom is predominately in white. Ketika put in a white sliding wardrobe with a slate grey strip in the middle and lofts on top. A sleek dressing unit stands in one of the corners with a long mirror fitted and two drawers at the end. Moreover, the high gloss laminate finish certainly adds a sheen to the room!

For the love of blues

The family’s partiality to minimalism runs through the kid’s bedroom as well. It stands out in an attractive navy blue colour. The membrane finish of the wardrobe and study table adds to the softness of the room. All the units have been fitted with soft edges as well to keep the room kid-friendly. In addition, a wall-mounted shelf offers essential storage.

Multi-functionality at its best!

Now you don’t!

Of course, the third bedroom is the most intriguing part of the home. Doubling as Ravikiran’s parents room and a pooja space, it flaunts a light wooden tone, which adds to the elegance of the bedroom.

But the best part is the folding bed that’s wall-mounted in the middle of a wardrobe, where one side is a dresser. So you could have more breathing space for your prayers in the morning and a comfy bedroom by night. In addition, the pooja unit beside the wardrobe is something to marvel at as well. An “Om” symbol carved in a laminate panel elevates the ambience in the room.

“The couple asked for unique designs which would not just be aesthetically pleasing, but also provide good utilisation of space. They were open to experimenting in terms of materials and colours and had complete faith in my design skills. I loved the experience!”

Try White + These Colours

Modular kitchens are a rage these days, and they are also long-term investments. Hence, picking the right combination of kitchen colors is essential from the word go. While classy white is a timeless and versatile option, a fully-white kitchen could become monotonous and is definitely not the easiest to maintain.

Luckily, a two-toned kitchen, which is a combination of two different colors for the base and wall cabinets, can create instant visual interest. It can also make your kitchen look more organised and dynamic. To get you started, we’ve put together a list of kitchen cabinet colors that go well with white, and will transform your kitchen from drab to fab!

Kitchen Colors #1: White + Cherry Red
kitchen colors-red kitchen designs-red and white kitchens
The deep red is a rich partner for the whites in this kitchen

Have you noticed that most kitchen appliances come in some shade of red? As the saying goes, red stokes your appetite and stimulates hunger. We used a deep cherry red in this kitchen’s lower cabinets to contrast the white wall cabinets, in order to evoke an energetic vibe.

Kitchen Colors #2: White + Crimson
red kitchen designs-red and white kitchens
A pop of blood red makes the kitchen come alive!

On the other hand, in this #LivspaceHome, we used a bright shade of crimson in minimal proportions, and alternated it with porcelain white cabinets, to create a more contemporary and cohesive kitchen.

Kitchen Colors #3: White + Blue
blue kitchen designs-profile lighting for kitchen cabinets
A dash of brilliant blue goes with the whites

White and blue is a classic color combination and works well for anyone that wants a calm and tranquil aura in their kitchen. This home uses serene kitchen cabinet colors such as oxford blue and pearl white, in combination with a pale turquoise backsplash to lend a breezy look to the space.

Kitchen Colors #4: White + Navy Blue
blue kitchen designs-white kitchen countertop designs
The rich hue of blue takes contrast to another level

A palette of white and navy blue is one of the most flexible combinations of colors to work with. Take a leaf out of this daring creation with generous usage of blue, and still keep things light with wall cabinets, flooring and a countertop in different shades of white.

Kitchen Colors #5: White + Yellow
kitchen colors-yellow kitchen designs-white kitchen countertop designs
The peppy yellow adds vitality to this kitchen

Use yellow to bring a bolt of energy into your kitchen. Studies have shown that the color yellow aids digestion and inspires feelings of optimism. This #LivspaceHome pairs yellow and white cabinet colors with complementary lighting for a permanently summery setting.

Kitchen Colors #6: White + Grey
grey kitchen designs-white kitchen countertop designs
Greying gracefully is an art

Dark colors may not work very well for a small space. However, with a slightly larger space, you can play around with dark colors such as these shadow grey cabinets that lend a sense of sophistication when used in combination with white. Use bright, pop-colored cookware in this kitchen for an energetic vibe.

Kitchen Colors #7: White + Wood
kitchen colors-kitchen backsplash designs-white kitchen countertop designs
A bohemian dream comes through in this kitchen

The timeless white and wood kitchen is reinvented in this #LivspaceHome that accommodates white and walnut-colored cabinets. It has a lively black and white backsplash and minimal instances of metallic elements. We can safely call it a gracefully bohemian space.

Kitchen Colors #8: White + Purple
kitchen colors-purple kitchen designs-white kitchen cabinet designs
A royal purple for a plush kitchen

Often associated with creativity and luxury, purple is a favourite in the recent past for those willing to experiment with unique cabinet colors. This home combines the rich and dramatic color with white wall cabinets and a flamingo pink backsplash, to create depth and elegance within a small space.

Kitchen Colors #9: White + Beige
beige kitchen designs-white kitchen countertops
A mix of white and beige for a neutral kitchen

Metallic hues are the latest thing in when it comes to color schemes. Paired with a floral backsplash and a white countertop, a beige in glossy finish can summon a modern character to the kitchen while keeping the artistic sentiment intact.

Kitchen Colors #10: White + Mocha
kitchen colors-mocha kitchen designs-marble kitchen backsplash designs
Mocha blends with white for an elegant mix

If you’re not too fond of contrasting cabinet colors, you can keep things neutral with a rich mocha finish and ivory white cabinets, marble backsplash and a black countertop, to lend an elegant urban aura.

With the right color palette to suit your taste, you’ll have a beaming kitchen in no time! Also check out How to Make a Small Kitchen Look Large

A grand mural of an elephant was painted on the wall grabs your attention first, adding plenty of character to the home. Moreover, all the furniture here is pointed to the TV unit (as it should be!) which is in PU finish is a gorgeous combination of black and beige.

Adjacent to the brightly-lit living room is the dining nook. The dining set is set on a wooden platform with L-shaped seating to keep the layout open, but also unique. The master bedroom, like all the other bedrooms in the house, has a breathtaking view of Mumbai. That being the case, the interiors of the room had to be equally breathtaking. Using brown and gold hues for the bedroom, our designer gave this space an elegant and classy feel. The room looks extra cosy because of the bay seating that was designed for reading books with a cup of tea. Additionally, glossy PU finish wardrobes were installed to reflect the light coming in from the palladian windows. Moreover, the custom-made fully-upholstered bed adds to the charm.

Essentially, there is a sizable study unit in a popping shade of purple to store books and toys. Moreover, this unit was custom made in PU finish to maximise storage in this 3BHK . Consequently, the interesting thing about this storage space is that a set of bright blue L-shaped shelves are fitted in to make full use of the empty corner. Besides, the designer particularly liked this room for the cosy bay seating next to the bed. In addition, the colours in the room were made to match the playful wall art. The wardrobes are in acrylic and PU finish for a scratch-resistant and durable design.

We’re thrilled about how wonderfully quirky the balcony has turned out while staying green and comfy. It’s the perfect spot for a cuppa while basking in the sun. Another metallic wall mount just adds to the vintage vibe of this garden balcony.

“Working with these clients was a great experience. While they gave me freedom to work, they were also hands-on through the process. So a combination of all our ideas were used in the design. They were open to experimenting in terms of new ideas and had complete faith in my skills.”

This is one of the special 3BHK flats in Dwarka designed by Livspace.

Who livs here: Ankit & Juhi Girotra with their twins and his father

Location: Apoorva Apartments, Dwarka, Delhi

Size of home: 3BHK spanning 1,250 sq ft

Design team: Interior Designer Deepankshi Saharan & Design Manager Bhawna Kalra

Livspace service: Full home design

Budget: ₹₹₹₹

When Ankit and Juhi bought one of the many 3BHK flats in Dwarka, they couldn’t wait to call it home. They aspired for a homely vibe in their apartment with subtle touches of luxury. They also wanted to retain some of their old furniture because of the memories attached to them. And that is where we come in! Our designer Deepankshi Saharan has designed the interiors of their Dwarka home keeping in mind the special needs of the couple’s young twins and their elderly father. She has also refurbished some of their existing furniture to fit flawlessly into their new home.

Exploring this home is worth the while because there is a wow element waiting to surprise you in every corner!

Design Ideas for 3BHK Flats in Dwarka: Fresh Florals

Juhi has a fetish for fresh floral patterns and Ankit wanted their home to have stunning lighting. Deepankshi gives us a glimpse of both starting from the foyer. The raw charm of the industrial chandelier in the entryway has our attention, as do the wall trims against the floral backdrop in the living area. All the living room furniture, barring the centre table, is from the Livspace catalogue. Further, the floating TV cabinet is a sleek and stylish addition to this setup.

Design Ideas for 3BHK Flats in Dwarka: Double Dining

Ankit and Juhi have 3-year old twins who need to be watched for the greater part of the day. Hence, Deepankshi made the smart choice to breakup the dining area into two parts. The family has a contemporary dining set that can seat four. But they also have an island breakfast counter; it is designed specially for the twins to have their meals! We love the country vibe coming from the pair of pendant lights over the island counter. We also love how the wall-to-wall window in the dining area lets in plenty of sunshine!

Design Ideas for 3BHK Flats in Dwarka: Moroccan Magic in the Kitchen

What good is a home if it does not indulge your deepest desires? The Girotras wanted a plush kitchen so Deepankshi provided one. The kitchen cabinets are an elegant mix of white and slate grey laminate with a textured black granite countertop. They also have a tall cabinet for appliances. But the highlight of this kitchen is the Moroccan tile flooring in shades of indigo and yellow. Its rustic beauty more than makes up for its cost!

“We are very happy with the way our designer Deepanshi refurbished some of our old furniture to fit into our new home seamlessly. Our twins love their room and we love how the Moroccan tile flooring looks in the kitchen. Functionally, our wardrobes provide ample storage for the family. So here is a big shout to the design team for helping us move into our dream home!

Design Ideas for 3BHK Flats in Dwarka: Pretty Pinks for the Master Bedroom

The family decided to hold on to some of their old furniture and Deepankshi gave these pieces a fresh twist with her ingenious refurbishing ideas. In the master bedroom, a bright pink headboard with horizontal lines was added to an existing bed. The wall trims and floral wallpaper behind the headboard make a pretty picture together. Don’t miss the cluster of hanging lights in the corner. Looks posh, doesn’t it? But this luminous piece, along with the other dazzling lights in this home, is a total steal!

Design Ideas for 3BHK Flats in Dwarka: Tales of Travel for Twins

Seems like the Girotra twins are a pair of avid travellers in the making. The blue wallpaper in their room with images of hot air balloons and propeller planes definitely suggest so. Their room has a special place in Ankit and Juhi’s hearts and they have spared no cost for it. All the furniture in this room, including the two single beds and the study unit in white laminate, is brand new.

The kids also have a wardrobe with a white laminate finish all to themselves. However, our favourite element in this room is the trunk in between the beds, which is a family heirloom. Deepankshi painted it white and installed it as a bedside table for the children!

Design Ideas for 3BHK Flats in Dwarka: Course in Contrasts for the Guest Room

The eldest member of this family has a comfortable room for himself and we love the delicate shades of blue in it. The wall trims using floral wallpaper bring in an element of continuity in design. The grey panelled headboard sits atop an existing bed while the wardrobe in white laminate matches the rest. But the star of the show is the cluster of corner lights that casts a soft glow over this room.

“Ankit and Juhi are priceless as clients. They were friendly and excited about decorating their new home. Their enthusiasm rubbed off on us, and the design team ensured that this lovely family got the home they deserve!”
Deepankshi Saharan, Interior Designer, Livspace

We refurbished this Indian bedroom into a brand new avatar!

indian bedroom-renovation-full room renovation-kids room renovation
Welcome to this bright blue room

Who livs here: Rushabh Dave with his wife Kavita, their son Krishay and his parents

Location: Vishal Susheel, Vile Parle East, Mumbai

Size of room: 154 sq ft approx.

Design team: Interior Designer Sakshi Shetty and Project Manager Dipesh Gurav

Livspace service: Kid’s Bedroom Design

Budget: ₹₹₹₹₹

This story is a perfect example of how everything falls into place when everyone is on the same page. For Rushabh and Kavita Dave, it was getting increasingly important to let their son, Krishay, feel like a growing kid. He was growing up and the parents wanted to give him his own space. Kavita was particular about letting him have his own study table and a room befitting of a growing kid. Previously, the couple had renovated their master bedroom through an individual contractor. This time they hired Livspace and felt the difference. In Kavita’s words, “I was glad I did not have to run after the carpenters for little things.”

Sakshi Shetty, the designer assigned to this project, was very forthcoming and started giving design solutions in accordance with the ideas of each member of the family. From the grandparents to the parents and the kid himself, each person was invested in this. At the end, the result is amazing and you get to see a bedroom makeover that is worthwhile. Read on.

Indian Bedroom: Let’s Talk Refurbish

The first piece of furniture you notice when you enter this bedroom is the bed and let us tell you, it is a refurbished piece. One look at it and you will be surprised to see how fresh and bright it looks. Thanks to Sakshi’s unique thinking, the headboard is sure to catch eyeballs! She wanted to go quirky with the headboard by giving it fabric panels in various prints and colours. And Kavita readily agreed! She hates the idea of perfectly matched things and would rather pick random things and put it together.

Another addition to this bed is the dresser-cum-storage unit that is standing right next to it. This is a functional unit with ample storage behind the mirror shutter. Sakshi has also given drawer and cabinet storage at the bottom. This unit has light laminate finish combined with blue matte finish.

indian bedroom-kids bedroom-makeover-bright bedroom

“We had gotten our master bedroom renovated through local contractors and this time around we wanted to engage a professional interior designer. It has been a great experience getting our room renovated through Livspace. Sakshi and Nausheen have been very supportive and receptive to our inputs. I wanted Sakshi to experiment with the design and I gave her complete freedom. She is a great designer and she respected our opinions. All of us were equally involved in the process and we love the outcome.”

-Kavita Dave, Livspace Homeowner

Indian Bedroom: Brand new shutters for the wardrobes

What is the smartest idea that was executed in this bedroom makeover? It is the wardrobe shutters, if you ask us. Although these wardrobes look brand new, there’s a small secret behind them. Since the wood used for the older wardrobes was of excellent quality, Sakshi decided to retain it. But, we simply love her idea of changing just the shutters for these. There’s a slight reference to the mountains in the way the laminates are placed on these wardrobe shutters. Also, they are perfectly aligned and extended to the room door. She has also provided extra storage by adding lofts atop them.

Indian Bedroom: Polished window seating

Krishay’s bedroom receives enough sunlight and there is window seating to maximise the benefit of this. Although this feature was already present in the earlier layout, Sakshi made it look better by polishing the slab. Additionally, she has added lofts in this area to provide for maximum storage in this bedroom makeover.

Indian Bedroom: Functional study table

Welcome to the most essential piece of furniture in this bedroom makeover. Kavita and the entire family was very particular about providing for a dedicated study table for Krishay. This is the major premise of giving his room a makeover. For a growing kid it is important to feel responsible and this requires a dedicated place for them.

The study unit that you see here has laminate finish and also sports matte blue panels. It is a full-fledged study table replete with cabinets, shelves and drawers. Kavita wanted this unit to accommodate two people comfortably so that Krishay can take his lessons from tutors and her. Sakshi has also highlighted the console wall with colour-blocked strips of wall paint.

“Rushabh and Kavita Dave have been amazing and easy clients to work with. From our very first meeting, they were clear about wanting to retain their old furniture and give it a new look. This was a fun project for me as a designer, since I could experiment with designs and patterns. Everyone was highly involved and in the end it turned out to be perfect!”

Pop of Purple

A rich pop colour

The first thing that draws your attention in the living room is the purple ottoman. Its vibrancy adds depth to the rest of the subdued shades in the room – grey and white. The combination of the couch and ottoman gives variety to the seating arrangements as well. Simple wall moulding panels demarcate the different areas within the room and add texture to the white walls.

A cluster of lights for the corner

The wall behind the entertainment unit sports a wallpaper with delicate patterns, which lends a contemporary minimalist touch to the room. Shutters have been used to cover the windows instead of drapes and the cluster of pendant lights near the windows turn into a night time glamour element in the room.

Ekta’s Corner

This is Ekta’s favourite spot by the window

The ledge by the window is Ekta’s ‘me’ corner in the house. From a design perspective, it makes perfect sense as it adds more seating space without crowding the room. Also, it has storage underneath. From an emotional point of view, Ekta and Kunal spend many an evening watching sunsets on this window ledge. After all, it’s got the best view.

Dining in Mirage

The dining set is a sleek affair with four chairs and an ottoman. All the living room furniture has been crafted in solid wood with upholstery. However, the most interesting element here is the tinted mirror panelling that makes the room appear more spacious than it is!

A cheery blue door ushers the Khannas into their kitchen, which has a parallel layout. It is a custom-made kitchen and not a modular one. Both the carcass cabinets and shutters are made of laminate to give the kitchen longevity.

To begin with, this particular pastel shade of green is rather rare in terms of usage. But apart from novelty, the wall panelling serves as an fitting backdrop for the pastel pink headboard. The serenely white side tables are also set off beautifully against the soothing green colour of the wall.

The wardrobe has sliding doors and is substantial in terms of storage. The box bed was picked from the Livspace catalogue, and it gives the family some additional space to stow away things they do not use on a regular basis. There is a tall mirror adjacent to the wardrobe that functions as the de-facto dresser.

The TV cabinet is sleek and extends into the display shelf that can be used for storing books or collectibles. All in all, the master bedroom has plenty of breathing space and a soothing aura due to the balmy mix of whites and pastels.

The kid’s bedroom has a dreamy vibe about it; it is like stepping into a fantasy novel. The shelf attached to the study table mimics the silhouette of a castle. The single bed has a peppy pink headboard, which is on Myeisha’s (the 5-year-old daughter of the Khannas) request. The bed has an extra pull-out bed attached to it and the steps to the bedstead are pull-out drawers for storage. The wallpaper has shreds of pink on white, matching the general tone of the room.

apartment design_purple wardrobe designs-open shelf designs

Purple-coloured PU has been used to create a pretty princess-themed room for the little girl. However, the designer has ensured that Myeisha does not outgrow her room in the coming years by using a fair amount of white as well. Moreover, with an eye on the future, she has added a dresser behind the full-length mirror, which is a must have for teenage girls.

Ekta and Kunal were very receptive to all my ideas and that helped open me up creatively. Their trust in me and the overall team eventually resulted in this beautiful happy home.”

Small Home? Squeeze in Extra Seating

Most people tend to go minimalistic if they have a small apartment, to avoid a cramped look. But why compromise on seating because of space constraints? Livspace designers have come up with unique ideas for seating, ie, small space interior design techniques to make room for all your guests. The following is a curated list of Livspace homes that have seating squeezed into the smallest of spaces.

Small Space Interior Design Ideas #1: Living room

Ottomans

small space interior design-small living room-sofa designs
Ottomans serve as accent pieces and also fit into compact spaces

If you have a narrow living room where there isn’t enough room to fit in a two-seater couch after placing a three-seater sofa, use ottomans to supplement the seating space. These are easy to move around and can also act as accent pieces for the living room.

The perfect corner for contemplation, thanks to small space interior design ideas

Ottomans, by themselves, can be dressed with cushions to create ‘me’ corners within the living room. It could be a special spot where you like to sit down and enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee.

Sofa-cum-bed

small space interior design-red sofa-couch designs- sofa-cum-bed
A sofa-cum-bed works as seating as well as an extra bed for guests

When you have utility on your mind, go for convertible furniture. Sofa-cum-beds are particularly useful in this regard as they occupy as much space as three-seater couch. But they can be rolled out to seat more people on a need basis.

Futon

Roll out for floor seating and roll in for making it a couch

Futons are very useful for small space interior design plans. They can be used as regular couches or be rolled out like rugs on the floor to huddle around and play board games.

Small Space Interior Design Ideas #2: Cosy Diners

Two seater dining table

small space interior design-exposed brick wall-kitchen backsplash-2-seater dining table
Two is company, three is a crowd

A large dining table is redundant if you are nuclear family and do not entertain much. Two-seater dining tables that fit into narrow passages are rage among millennial couples these days!

Four Seater Dining Table

Cosy dining set for a small family

Cosy and compact, this Livspace home manages to fit a four-seater dining table in less than 50 sq feet. The mirrored panels in the background are definitely helping the cause!

Bench

Carved out of the kitchen, this dining space is set apart for its use of a cushioned bench

When in doubt, opt for a bench. This is one of the tricks to squeeze in functional furniture in compact spaces. This cushioned bench is not only space-saving but also super comfy.

Dining-cum-centre table

Multi-functional furniture at its best

Good things come in small packages, and this compact dining-cum-centre table is a testament to that for sure. The three tiny footstools nested under the round table form a cosy dining set up for a small family.

Small Space Interior Design Ideas #3: Bedroom

Window seat

Call dibs on this window seat now!

Bay windows comprise a new trend seen in Livspace homes that allows designers to squeeze seating into what is essentially the window sill. Apart from seating, storage also can be accommodated in this space. If its a room with a view, then these are the best seats in the room.

Stool

small space interior design-white wallpaper-media wall designs-nested stool
Easy to pull out or stow away

For compact bedrooms, stools and ottomans make the best seating options. This tiny stool for example, is both easy to move around and stow away when not in use.

Bedroom Bench

small space interior design-exposed brick wall white-world map pattern-wallpaper designs- blue fabric couch-wooden bench
A bench for intimate conversations

A bench is particularly useful because it can seat up to three people and its sleek frame occupies bare minimum space. This solid wood bench will prove to be exceedingly functional while entertaining friends who are close enough to gather for a chat in the bedroom.

Floor seating

No-fuss seating cum play area for kids room

Kids room seating should be basic and fuss-free; just like the floor seating arrangement we see in this Livspace home. The mattress provides cushion if the kids happen to fall. Moreover, floor seating means there will be one thing less to trip over in the utter chaos of your kids’ bedroom!

Small Space Interior Design Ideas #4: Balcony Seating

Cane chairs

Sunny and serene, balcony seating for loners

A knitted rug, a cane chair, some throw cushions and oodles of sunlight are all you need to transform this narrow balcony into a reader’s coven.

Swing

Swing it in style within a tiny space

Swings are versatile in their appeal and timeless as a style statement. They also serve as fit accessories while implementing small space interior design ideas.

Balcony Bench

Sleek and simple bench for a balcony

This mid-century solid wood piece whiffs of elegance and the Moroccan prints on the cushions ad pops of colour to it. This ensemble from a Livspace home is both classy and sleek; it could fit into the smallest of balconies while still leaving room for some potted plants.

Knitted chair and table

Classic knitted design of chair and table

The rustic charm of this knitted coffee table and chair seem all the more appealing as the set is compact.

Small Space Interior Design Ideas #5: Other Options

Reading Nook

small space interior design-tufted ottoman-rug designs-reading corner-bookshelf designs
The quiet corner to settle down with a book in your lap

This reading nook is every bibliophile’s dream. The lone tufted ottoman stands out in contrast to the tall bookshelf. If you like to laze around as you read, you can always stretch out on the rug in front of the bookshelf and lean on the ottoman for support.

Nested Coffee Table

small space interior design-nested coffee table-bookshelf designs-hobby room ideas-reading chair-coffee table designs
The perfect hobby room with different kinds of seating

Take a leaf out of the book of Persian style for creating the best seating arrangements within limited space. This low coffee table with four nested stools is an inspiring idea from a Livspace home; the set up looks ideal for a round of board games on a game night!

Persian Seating

small space interior design-floor seating ideas-window seating ideas
Sitting like the Sultans

Another example of a rather Persian setup, this gilded floor seating arrangement looks like it came straight out of the pages of Arabian Nights! What’s best is that it occupies just a corner and does not look crowded or cramped.

Throw Cushions

small space interior design-throw cushions-living room seating-floor seating ideas-blue cushions
There nothing quite like stretching out on the floor

With throw cushions, you have the best of both worlds. You can stack them up one on top of the other when they are not in use and they can be used individually for seating people when required.

Beautiful houses photos coming right up!

Modern and minimal at its best

Who livs here: Anshul Malhotra and his wife Megha Gupta

Location: The New Shivalik CGHS Ltd, Sector 51, Gurgaon

Size of home: 2BHK spanning 3,000 sq ft

Design team: Interior designer Rishabh Chatrath and Project Manager Vikas Vishwakarma

Livspace service: Full home design

Budget: ₹₹₹₹

Jet, set and go! That’s the daily routine of power couple and pilot duo Anshul Malhotra and his wife Megha Gupta. While Anshul works as a pilot with Air India, Megha is a captain with Indigo. And they longed for the ultimate downtime pad at their New Shivalik flat. But the place wasn’t big enough. So they decided to get an upgrade and bought a bigger flat in the same building. In addition, they wanted to turn their new 4BHK spanning 3,000 sq ft into an uber chic 2BHK. Enter our Interior Designer Rishabh Chatrath who readily took the task for this charming couple.

Along with major civil changes, including flooring and false ceiling, they wanted to wrap their home in warm tones. In addition, they wanted to create an inviting space since they love to have their friends and family over. Keeping the palette rich and warm, Rishabh focused on minimalist interiors. We love how he’s added touches of the couple’s vibrant personalities throughout the home too! Here’s the tour!

Minimal Foyer

A faux tree trunk with the couple’s names

The couple were particular of having a display wall as soon as you enter the home. So Rishabh added false ceiling in the foyer and kept the wall bare so Anshul and Megha could add pictures and collectibles over time.

Wooden Warmth
beautiful-houses-photos-living-room-sofa-blue-floral-divan-curtains-wooden-wall
An inviting setting

Stepping into the living room, you wouldn’t guess it was originally a smaller space. Rishabh broke down one of the bedrooms and bought it into the living room, resulting in more space for comfy seating. This also helped to create a separate nook for dining. The choice of two navy blue sofas and a floral divan certainly snugs the space up. Of course, the highlight of the room are the two wood-toned veneer panels that are opposite each other. One serving as a backdrop for the living room seating and the other acting as a partition wall for the dining space. “The warm wooden colour would perfectly complement the combination of grey flooring and blue seating”, explains Rishabh.

If you ask the couple their favourite part of the home, they would happily point to their bar unit. And we can see why too! Standing in a polished veneer black with elegant brass inlay, the unit definitely catches your eye. The inside has been done with velvet blue upholstery as a luxe addition and it has been fitted with wine racks and shelves.

Since they wanted low-maintenance, Rishabh picked a laminate finish for all their modular units. Including the TV unit that’s been mounted on the living room wall.

We were looking for our very own personal hotel suite kind of home for when we are not flying and everything turned out like that. We are even getting another home designed by Livspace!”

Anshul Malhotra & Megha Gupta, Livspace Homeowners

Dining nook for conversations

The dining room is doused in beautiful neutral tones. From the grey painted wall to the cappuccino upholstered chairs, everything makes a classy and chic statement. The world map wall decal is a token to the couple’s passion for flying. They would eventually  pin up plane decals on places they have visited around the world. A lone crockery cabinet in white laminate has been tucked into a corner and open shelves have been mounted on the opposite wall.

Swanky & Stylish Kitchen

The kitchen had major civil changes. Starting from bringing the balcony inside and turning it into a wet area to the redone vitrified flooring.  The couple wanted a sleek kitchen. As a result, the pristine white and slate grey combination resonates with their choice. In addition, the high gloss laminate finish elevates the look of the kitchen as well. Rishab put in patterned backsplash and a granite countertop to complete the look and installed pull-out options for their cabinets to keep things hassle-free.

Comfy Bedroom

Walk-in wardrobe

The master bedroom is the only space that has been done up in wooden flooring. But the highlight is the 14-foot wall-to-wall headboard done in leather. It definitely takes the look of the room up a notch! We love how Rishab created a cosy nook in the corner with an armchair by the window. There’s plenty of display options thanks to the open shelves and TV unit as well. Also, a swing wardrobe in autumn leaf laminate offers ample storage space.

Muted Study

Soothing greys

Grey painted wall

The guest bedroom basks under comforting neutral tones. Anshul and Megha were particular about having a study for this bedroom. As a result, Rishab put in a minimal table and paired it with an upholstered chair. Moreover, the grey wall as the backdrop adds to the ambience. The wardrobe in the corner has been refurbished in the same slate grey laminate as the kitchen. Also, it matches with the TV unit beside it.

A room for wardrobes

Imagine a room full of wardrobes for all your essentials and more! Who wouldn’t crush on it? Rishabh turned one of the bedrooms as a multi-functional space with two large laminate wardrobes and their exercise equipment.

An elegant bathroom

Handle-less cabinets under the sink

Just like the rest of the home, the master bedroom’s bathroom has been done in neutral tones. It flaunts slate grey cabinets under the sink and a frameless mirror.

“To make good homes you need to make good relationships. And I thoroughly enjoyed working with Anshul and Megha. It was a pleasure designing their home!”
